Earlier I mentioned my friend Athena is a beekeeper. We met because honeybees had made a hive behind the shutters of the house and had to be removed. Athena works with Latchey, a West Indian fella. I like the bees so much I have a hive of my own now, though one: its small and two: I don't have a bee suit and cant actually tend it, but I hope to one day.These photos are from another year, but there was a hive this year . This latest hive became "my" bees.
